Ève is a character from Fire Emblem Engage. She is the queen of Firene and the mother of Alfred and Céline.
Profile[]
Ève is the kind queen of Firene, a gentle soul who wishes for a world without strife or conflict. As the ruling monarch, she hammered out beneficial non-aggression pacts with Firene's neighboring countries of Brodia and Solm. In part to her strong ties to the Divine Dragon Monarch Lumera, Ève would often take her children, Alfred and Céline, on trips to Lythos and the Somniel to visit the slumbering Alear as many of her ancestors did.
Peace would be shattered during her reign as the last country of Elyos, Elusia, aligned with the Fell Dragon Sombron. Elusia launched a massive invasion of the other nations in order to steal the Emblem Rings the nations were safeguarding. As Elusia landed on Firene's shores, Ève sent Alfred to Lythos to request aid from Lumera. Elusia encroached Firene Castle sooner than expected, forcing Ève to send Céline out of the castle with the Ring of the Caring Princess in hope of rendezvousing with Alfred who would likely return with aid. Elusia successfully captured Castle Firene and held Ève hostage, but much to her joy, Alfred and Céline returned with the newly awakened Alear, liberating the castle of the Elusian force.
In the aftermath, as per her duty, Ève told Alear to keep the ring and tasked her children and their retainers to aid Alear's mission to collect the Emblem Rings. Before departing, Ève revealed that, unlike the other nations of Elyos, Firene was given two rings to safeguard, with the Ring of the Caring Princess being the only one known publicly. She encourages them to stop by a hidden shrine on the path to Brodia to reclaim the Ring of the Dawn Maiden and wishes them well as they depart on their mission.

Etymology[]
Ève is the French variant of Eve, a notable figure from the Book of Genesis in the Bible as the wife of Adam. In some versions, Eve is the second woman created by God after Lilith while in some versions she is the first woman created, formed from the ribs of Adam. She gave birth to Cain, Abel, and Seth.
Eve is also used in modern English as a notation of a period at most a day prior to a special event like Christmas Eve or New Year's Eve.
