Subjective: The following part of this article is based upon the editor's personal experiences and opinions, and therefore may not be applicable for all readers.

After passing through a specific chapter, the Faceless encountered are much more stronger, having improved stats in addition to various abilities on them. Hisame is at the center of the map and cannot move. The Faceless nearby don't tend to move so there is plenty of time to reach him, unlike other paralogues where the children can move, often into danger.

When considering how to approach Hisame, something to keep in mind is that Rescue doesn’t work on him before Hinata talks to him, unlike many child units in their paralogues. It is likely that this is due to him having no movement.

The unique aspect in this chapter is the "Waste" tile. Any unit on this tile has their movement reduced to one (excluding flyers and Takumi with his Fujin Yumi), in addition to dropping the unit's avoid rating by 10, so avoid going on waste tiles. There are paths of plain tiles to reach the boss however.

The Ballistician class is at particular disadvantage in this map, as they are prevented from entering Waste tiles. The only way to move one through these tiles is to pair them up with another unit, but you can’t switch to the Ballistician while over the Waste tile.

Enemy Reinforcements[]

On turns 7 and 8, 4 Faceless will come out of the upper left and right stairs. On turns 9 and 10, 4 Faceless appear from the lower middle and left stairs.

Trivia[]

  • If Hisame is defeated but the map is completed successfully, the normal recruitment conversation will occur after the battle, but Hisame will not join the party. The same thing happens in two other paralogues, Two Defenders and Fight or Flight.
