Accessory Shop

The Accessory Shop is a store featured in Fire Emblem Fates.

Overview

The Accessory Shop is a building feature in the My Castle and sells accessories to equip to your army's units. Accessories are mainly cosmetic changes and will appear in-game during both battles and chapter scenes. While they have no effect during chapters and challenge battles, units wearing accessories gain damage bonuses and reduction when worn in My Castle related battles. Some also increase the frequency of the wearer appearing in certain facilities such as the Armory or the Bath House. Accessories cost resources and higher level accessories cost much more. Higher level Accessory Shops increase the inventory options. Depending on the person working the shop, there will be a 20% discount for a specific Accessory type.

Accessories are mainly obtained in this store, though players can gift Accessories when visiting other player's My Castle. The amiibo characters give out two types of accessories unique to them upon their first two visits of the My Castle and if working in the Accessory Shop, they will sell their unique accessories. Having Fire Emblem Awakening StreetPass data unlocks the Emblem Shield. Achieving a 2 Hearts in the player's Spouse Bonding in their Private Quarters will unlock the Lover Bracelet. Several accessories were removed from the international versions of Fire Emblem Fates.

Trivia

• In the North American version of the game the Sunglasses accessory is known as the 'Tinted Glasses', making it the only accessory to share its name with another one. This was likely an oversight by the localization team, and was renamed to 'Sunglasses' in the PAL release.
• During battle, if a unit is wearing an accessory and sustains serious damage, that accessory may be thrown off or destroyed akin to battle damage. This is purely cosmetic however, and the accessories are restored as normal after the battle.
  • Accessories that get damaged in the Arena, while still retaining the damage during combat between each round; are shown to be unaffected in the scenes after each battle.
