Aegir, located along the eastern coast of the Adrestian Empire, is the domain of House Aegir.
Profile[edit | edit source]
House Aegir, which holds the rank of duke, is one of the most powerful noble families in the Adrestian Empire, second only to the royal family of House Hresvelg. At some point, a head of the house gained the position of prime minister of the Empire, and the title became hereditary from then on.
In Imperial Year 1171, the latest Ludwig masterminded a soft coup against Emperor Ionius IX called the Insurrection of the Seven. The emperor was stripped of almost all of his power, rendering him a figurehead, while Ludwig became the true authority behind the throne and effectively ruled the Empire in his capacity as prime minister.
