“A medicinal solution that cures poison.”
—In-game description, The Sacred Stones

The Antitoxin is a status-restoring item that appears across the Fire Emblem Series. Like its name suggests, it can be used to cure the poison status effect.

The Antitoxin is one of the original items appearing in the Fire Emblem series, alongside a small selection of other combat-use items like the common Vulnerary. While the Antitoxin is not as useful as the Vulnerary is, it is a good idea, nonetheless, to pack a healthy quantity of this item when engaging in chapters that are swarming with enemies wielding poison weapons.

Antitoxins are relatively rare items in the Fire Emblem series, as they are generally not purchasable from many vendors. Most Antitoxins are, however, dropped by enemies, most of whom happen to be carriers of poison weapons.

Poison is the only status affliction that has an item specifically made to reverse its effects. This may be considered to be rather odd, as the poison status effect is not known for being particularly irksome; a character who is poisoned only loses a small fraction of their HP (between 1 and 5 points) per turn, and the effect only lasts for five turns in total.
