Arbalest is a Crossbow that appears exclusively in Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn.
Overview[]
The fifth and last Crossbow available in the game, the Arbalest possesses features that are characteristic of its other crossbow counterparts, including high Might and a precise Accuracy rate. This crossbow also sports a decent Critical rate that allows for more lethal attacks to be performed, a fact that is offset by its heavy Weight and low Durability, alongside it being a weapon that can only be obtained once per play-through.
The fact that the Arbalest is obtained late into the game does not help its case very much, as this essentially renders it redundant due to the availability of units who are better off harnessing their high Strength with Bows. However, if one choses to give this weapon to a unit with the Dragonfoe skill, its high might makes it able to kill red dragons in one hit during endgame (but it becomes ineffective against enemies with Mantle).
