Asclepius is a Staff that debuted in Tokyo Mirage Sessions ♯FE.

Overview

In Tokyo Mirage Sessions ♯FE, obtaining the staff requires Kiria Kurono to be a Sage to perform the Carnage Unity necessary to form the staff.

It reappears in Fire Emblem: Three Houses as the exclusive weapon of Cornelia, crafted using Agarthan technology to restore health to its wielder.

It reappears in Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes as a obtainable accessory, only available in Shez's Journal for 15 Renown either in a completed save file for a fresh file or in a New Game+ file.

Grants Res+3. Calculates damage from staff like other weapons. At start of turn, if any foe's Res < unit's Res and that foe is adjacent to another foe, inflicts Atk/Res-6 and status preventing counterattacks on that foe through its next action. At start of combat, if unit's HP ≥ 25%, grants Atk/Res+6 to unit and deals damage = total penalties on foe during combat. (If the "calculates damage from staff like other weapons" effect is neutralized, damage from staff is calculated after combat damage is added.)

Etymology

Asclepius was the ancient Greek god of medicine and had powers of prophecy; he was one of the sons of Apollo. He's most famous for the Physician's Cure, an elixir that can resurrect the dead which sparked tensions between Hades and Apollo resulting in Asclepius getting killed. He eventually became a god while the Physician's Cure was prohibited from being used again.

Trivia

• Even though Asclepius is Cornelia's personal staff, she does not use it when encountered as the boss in Chapter 16 of the Crimson Flower route.
