Askr is a character mentioned in Fire Emblem Heroes.
He is the god of connections and strong bonds, and the legendary dragon of the Kingdom of Askr. Askr and Líf, the first king of Askr, once worked with the Emblian Empire to open and close gates to other worlds. Many years later, when Embla launches her plan to end Askr's bloodline, Askr sends his retainer Ash to defend the people of Midgard.
Etymology
Askr (Ask the Japanese name) were the first two humans, created by the gods. In Poetic Edda and Prose Edda, both sources, three gods, one of whom is Odin, find Ask and Embla and bestow upon them various corporeal and spiritual gifts.
Askr in Old Norse literally means 'Ash Tree.'
