Attack Stance is a new game mechanic in Fire Emblem: Fates
Overview
Attack Stance works similar to Dual Attack in Fire Emblem: Awakening. Unlike Dual Attack from Awakening, where the partner has a chance to attack after the lead unit (which is increased by higher Support levels), the partner of an Attack Stance will always attack, regardless of Support level. The support unit will always attack once, unless equipped with a special weapon like a Brave Sword. Like the Dual Attack system, the attacking partner can miss, and any special skills they have (e.g Luna) are not activated. Any attacks by the partner will always be blocked if the lead unit attacks a pair in a Guard Stance
