The Aurgelmir (アウルゲルミル Aurugerumiru) is a unique Axe that appears exclusively in Fire Emblem Fates. The only S-ranked axe usable to the player's army, the Aurgelmir is defined by its high Might, hit and critical rates. These strengths are, however, offset by the Aurgelmir halving its wielder's Strength post-battle.

Etymology
In Norse mythology, Aurgelmir, also known as Ymir, is a giant who was created from the drops of water that formed when the ice of Niflheim met the heat of Muspelheim. Aurgelmir is said to be the father of all the giants.
