Awake at Last is the first chapter of Fire Emblem Engage.
Story[]
Alear awakens suddenly only to be met by two young stewards, Clanne and Framme, who are surprised by their awakening. As they fetch a veteran knight, Vander, he too expresses surprise that Alear has awaken, calling them Divine Dragon. He reveals that Alear had been asleep for 1000 years with at least 32 generations of caretakers and Alear's mother Lumera awaiting the day they would reawaken. Hazy from their sudden reawakening, Alear only remembers their name. Vander reveals that they are a member of a royal family of dragons who are revered as diety with Lumera being the monarch of the Holy Land of Lythos. 1000 years prior, Lumera defeated the Fell Dragon and that Alear is her only child.
The four depart from the Somniel, a fortress built to protect Alear while they slept, and head to Lythos Castle to reunite with their mother. Enroute, Alear notices a ring on their finger as malevolent figures approach the group. Despite Alear ordering the group to retreat, Clanne and Framme attempt to fend off the creatures, but are quickly surrounded. Alear rescinds their order to retreat and they engage in combat against the malevolent creatures.
As Clanne and Framme are suddenly ambushed by more of the creatures, a voice sounds from the ring on Alear. The spirt of a blue-haired warrior emerges, introducing himself as Marth. Empowered by Marth, the two finish off the remaining malevolent forces.
