The Axe Knight (アクスナイト Akusu naito) is a combat physical class that is exclusive to TearRing Saga: Utna Heroes Saga. The Axe Knight class arms Axes as its sole weapon of choice, excelling at fighting in city environments. This class seems to be strongly inspired by the unused Axe Soldier class from Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War.
Axe Knights are differentiated from the mounted Axe-wielding class that is known as the Axe Rider in TearRing Saga. Axe Knights reappear in Berwick Saga, while the mounted Axe Rider class does not. In Berwick Saga, Axe Knights are revamped to resemble the Armor Knight, having some of the highest Defense out of the non-armored classes, alongside having access to Medium Shields but not Large Shields.
