Baldr is a background character in Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War. He is one of the Twelve Crusaders, possesses the title of Paladin, is the original wielder of the Tyrfing, and is the founder of the dukedom of Chalphy Castle.
Etymology[]
Baldr is the Norse god of Light and one of Odin's sons. His mother Frigg made every object on Earth to do no harm to Baldr but unfortunately he was killed by a dart made of Mistletoe, the only plant Frigg didn't vow. After Ragnarok, Baldr is said to reincarnate and become the ruler of the new world.
