Banfig is a character mentioned in Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes. One of the three sons of King Klaus I, he and his brothers fought over the throne during the Holy Kingdom of Faerghus' war of succession.
Profile[]
When King Klaus I was suddenly struck with fever and on his deathbed, the Holy Kingdom of Faerghus had to determine a successor, as Klaus hadn't yet chosen one himself.
When Klaus' sister Morianne found a note in Klaus' handwriting stating that the future king would be the son who was most beloved by the kingdom, a bloody war of succession was ignited. Banfig, a talented warrior and military strategist, was backed by the Knights of Faerghus in this conflict. Yet, despite his prowess on the battlefield, Banfig was said to be a gentle soul with no real desire for war and power.
In Imperial Year 861, after much fighting, the middle brother, Krouffer, managed to urge Banfig and Kite into splitting the kingdom into three separate territories, these being the Eastern Kingdom, the Western Kingdom, and Leicester, the last of which would become the Leicester Alliance by Imperial Year 901.
