“I hereby sentence you to death for your acts of treason. No visits to the king today, Siglud.”
—Alvis during the prelude of the Battle of Barhara

Battle of Barhara

The Battle of Barhara, also known as the Barhara Massacre, is an event at the end of Chapter 5 of Fire Emblem: Seisen no Keifu that happenes on Gran Calendar Year 761. It is the final event in Siglud's tale, and it is planned by Alvis in order to remove all obstacles in his plan to unify the whole continent.

The forlorn prelude of the Battle of Barhara starts after Reptor of Freege is defeated, when Siglud confronts Alvis’s confidant, General Aida in Velthomer. Aida says that Alvis knew that Siglud was innocent all along, and that the Royal Guard, that Alvis leads, has prepared a celebration for Siglud’s army near Barhara. Siglud suspects nothing, and goes to Barhara, and after Siglud talks with Alvis for a little while about King Azmur, Alvis decides to cut him off, and tells him that he is still a traitor for killing Prince Kurth, even though he and his father Vylon, who was also blamed, did not. Alvis then brings Diadora out long enough only for Siglud to be in shock and for Diadora to suspect that she knows Siglud (she had her memories erased during Chapter 3), and then Alvis kills Siglud with Fala Flame. Siglud’s army is bombarded by a storm of meteors, and they are trapped since they are surrounded by the Royal Guard, but some of his army manages to escape.

Regarding those who died at the Battle of Barhara, here is what is known. Siglud was killed by Alvis, Cuan and Ethlin died in the Yied Desert during Trabant’s ambush, which happened just a short while earlier than the Battle of Barhara, Levn was killed by Manfroy, but was recruited by Holsety, and it isn’t clear who else died. Considering those who survived, Ferry, Tailto, Rackesis, Adean, Sylvia, and Briggid are known to have survived, meaning that the only playable woman that was at the Battle of Barhara that was presumed to have died was Ira, and Levn was brought back to life. Also, Fin survived because he was in Lenster at the time of the Battle of Barhara, and Diadora survived because she was brainwashed and Alvis took her for his wife. By the time of Celice's tale, Ferry and Tailto died.

Ferry died of natural causes, aparantly an illness, but it is unsaid as to what the illness actually was.

Tailto died of illness and depression after years of abuse from her sister-in-law Hilda. Tailto died protecting her daughter, Tinny, from that evil "feathering" "dastarded" Hilda

Around the time of Celice's tale, Adean was conducting church services, Briggid became Evayl, Rackesis left Lenster to try to search for her son Delmud, and disappeared in the Yied Desert, and Sylvia's whereabouts are unknown.

The army of Siglud, all of whom that lived or died, were branded as traitors, and it is hinted in Fire Emblem: Thracia 776 that those captured were turned into stone by Veld. During Chapter 10, Celice kills Alvis to avenge the Battle of Barhara.
