The Blade Lord is a combat physical class that first debuted in Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade.
Overview[]
Blade Lord is a promotion for the Lord class that is unique to Lyn. Upon promotion to this class, Lyn gains the ability to wield bows in addition to swords. It is the only non-mounted class capable of wielding both weapons in The Blazing Blade.
The class returns as the personal promoted class of Lyn in the spin-off title Fire Emblem Warriors. In this game, the class is only capable of using swords.
Combat[]
The Blade Lord class is functionally a non-mounted version of the Nomadic Trooper, which is similarly capable of wielding both swords and bows, combined with aspects of the Swordmaster class. Similar to the latter, the Blade Lord retains the ability to equip Wo Dao, features identical statistical caps, and is vulnerable to Swordslayers.

Trivia[]
- When using the Sol Katti, the class sports a unique battle animation that went unused in the Japanese version of the game due to a programming error that incorrectly set the animation to play when Lyn uses Durandal. The Durandal does not exist in the final game, and it is unknown if there were cut plans for her to acquire it during the story, or if it was merely a development placeholder.
