The Blue Gem (青宝石 Ao hōseki) is a gem that first debuted in Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade. The Blue Gem serves no other practical purpose apart from providing gold through its sale to a vendor (usually 5,000 gold). The Blue Gem, alongside its other lucrative gem counterparts, is substituted by the Bullion in later entries to the Fire Emblem Series.
