The Blue Lions are one of the three student houses at the Garreg Mach Monastery Officers Academy in Fire Emblem: Three Houses. At Rhea's invitation, Byleth must choose between the Blue Lions and the other two houses, the Black Eagles and the Golden Deer, to personally teach.

Profile[]

The Blue Lions house at the Officers Academy is comprised of students who hail from the Holy Kingdom of Faerghus. As their homeland is known for its knights, many of the students are proficient at using spears.

The Blue Lions were named after the founder of Faerghus, Loog, the King of Lions, who had a penchant for wearing blue.

Following the revelation of the Flame Emperor's true identity, the Blue Lion students decide to support Dimitri despite his sudden change in personality. Believing that Edelgard is behind the Tragedy of Duscur, Dimitri is eager to kill her and other soldiers of the Adrestian Empire.

War Phase[]

Should Byleth not recruit members of the Blue Lions during the Academy phase if they taught the Black Eagles or Golden Deer, they will support Dimitri in his war against the Empire. Ashe will always appear as an enemy, but whether the other Blue Lions students do depends on the route (Silver Snow, Crimson Flower, or Verdant Wind).

If Byleth chose to teach the Blue Lions during the Academy Phase, they will experience the Azure Moon route during the War Phase.

Trivia[]

  • The Blue Lions is the only house that has an unequal distribution of male and female members (five and three, respectively).
  • The Blue Lions route is the only path in Three Houses where players can obtain all twelve of the original Heroes' Relics, as Areadbhar and Crusher are unobtainable in the other routes, as one is Dimitri's signature Relic, while Gilbert, the second character needed for Annette's Paralogue, is a playable character found exclusively in the Azure Moon route.
    • In Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes, this translates into the Azure Gleam route not only being the route with the highest amount of route-exclusive playable characters, with 10 (Scarlet Blaze has 6, Golden Wildfire has 3), but the route with the most obtainable Heroes' Relics and Sacred Weapons by the completion of the route, at 13 out of 18 Hero Relics, and 8 out of 15 Sacred Weapons, as well as the route with the most Dragon Signs that are exclusively unlocked after a route's completion at 6, compared to the other routes' 4.
  • In a survey conducted by Nintendo DREAM Magazine, the Blue Lions ranked 1st among the houses chosen in Fire Emblem: Three Houses. The male-female vote ratio was 1:2. It received 42.6% of the vote.
