According to Cyas, only those with holy blood can wield the sword, but Galzus and Mareeta cannot use it despite hailing from Rivough, a branch of the Isaac royal family. It is highly recommended that Leaf gets the sword since Leaf is unmounted, while Nanna, Felgus, and Delmud are not, and Leidrick and Eins, the former being the wielder of the Loputo Sword, and the latter being the dark warlord of the former, are fought inside. Also, Leaf is guaranteed to start just below Eins, while the other three could start anywhere, thus it is obviously equiped to Leaf. Also, it is unknown what Crusader Blaggi has to do with this sword, but since the Loputo Sword is "cursed" by the Loputo Sect, the Blaggi Sword is most likely "blessed" by Blaggi.

The Bragi Sword (ブラギの剣 Buragi no ken) is a holy Sword that appears exclusively in Fire Emblem: Thracia 776. Capable of nullifying the Loptous Sword's ability to halve all attacks that are inflicted upon its wielder, the Bragi Sword is a vital component in defeating Raydrik and Mus.

It is initially possessed by Ced, who later entrusts it to Saias, urging him to pass it into the hands of Leif before entering Manster Castle. According to Saias, only those in possession of Holy Blood flowing through their veins can wield the sword. However, this rule does not apply to Galzus and Mareeta, both of whom are unable to use the blade despite possessing Od Holy Blood.

Out of all the possible candidates who are capable of wielding the Bragi Sword, it is highly recommended that it be used by Leif. This is attributed to the fact that unlike Nanna, Fergus and Diarmuid, Leif is a foot unit, meaning that he is the only individual who will not suffer any impairing penalties whatsoever when fighting indoors. Further adding on to this, Leif is, in the Final Chapter, guaranteed to be allotted a starting spot that is positioned directly in front of the room Mus is located in.
