Brawling Prowess is a Skill introduced in Fire Emblem: Three Houses.

Overview[]

In Three Houses, Axe Prowess is a skill that increases the Hit Rate, Evade, and Critical Evade stats of a unit while they are wielding gauntlets or their own fists, with the stat increases based on the tier of the skill. The skill's tiers improve as a unit's Weapon Level in Brawling reaches the various plus ranks, granting up to the maximum of Level 5 upon reaching A+ in Brawling.

In Three Hopes, Brawling Prowess works differently, where instead of accuracy and evasion buffs, it increases total damage by a percentage based on the tier of the skill. The skill's tiers improve as a unit reaches a specific mastery level of the classes that offers the skill, granting up to the maximum of Level 3. All male non-Brawler archetype units get this skill from the entire Brawler class line, while the aforementioned units (Raphael & Balthus) get their first Brawling Prowess from Fighter.

Trivia[]

  • Due to how Brawling Prowess is exclusive to the Brawler class line, no female unit can learn Brawling Prowess naturally. Just like the situation with Unarmed Combat back in Three Houses, the only female units who can use Brawling Prowess at any level are Shez, Byleth, and Arval, which can only be done by doing a male Shez and Byleth run beforehand.
