Cancel Affinity is a type B passive skill introduced in Fire Emblem Heroes.

It can be learned without inheriting by: Innes, Jamke*, Linde (Summer Rays), Mathilda and Robin (Fell Vessel).

Overview

Cancel Affinity works as a negation skill; serving as the name suggests as a direct counter to Triangle Adept and the boosted damage that it adds on top of the weapon triangle advantage. At stage 1; any instance of Triangle Adept involved in the battle is negated. With Cancel Affinity 2; Triangle Adept is nullified as long as the Cancel Affinity user has disadvantage.

Cancel Affinity 3; however, inverts the bonuses of Triangle Adept and subtracts them from the 20% Atk bonus of weapon advantage, so fighting with Cancel Affinity 3 against a character with both advantage and Triangle Adept 3 will result in a complete nullification of the bonus Atk from color advantage altogether.

This also nullifies the gemstone weapons (Ruby Sword, Sapphire Lance & Emerald Axe) as they have innate Triangle Adept. However, it does not nullify the Raven tomes (Rauðrraven, Blárraven & Gronnraven) unless the wielder of that tome also is using Triangle Adept.
