Catherine comes from the Greek name Aikaterine.It could derive from the earlier Greek name Hekaterine, which came from hekateros "each of the two". Originated from the name of the goddess Hecate; related to Greek aikia "torture"; or a Coptic name meaning "my consecration of your name".

Catherine is a character from Fire Emblem: Three Houses. She teaches at the Officer's Academy and is one of the Knights of Seiros. As an instructor at the Academy he offers lessons in Swords and Fighting.
