Chests are a terrain found in all Fire Emblem games, they contain items, weapons or gold and in most Fire Emblem games can be opened with a chest key or a thief (in some of them the thief needs a lockpick though). In the 2D Fire Emblem games units can walk through chests with no movement penalty and must be placed on the chest to open them. In the 3D Fire Emblem games chests were impassible and a unit must be adjacent to a chest to open it.
