Etymology

In Greek mythology, Circe was a sorceress and the daughter of Helios and Hecate the goddess of magic. She would often trick sailors into eating her food and drink laced with her potion which turned them into pigs. In the Odyssey, Odysseus managed save himself from Circe by ingesting a herb given to him by Hermes.

Trivia

• Despite being a staff crafted using Agarthan technology and being used exclusively by Solon, the item uses the generic staff icon.
• Oddly, the Circe Staff is the only piece of equipment in the game that is strictly-detrimental to its user. It does not give its holder any mechanical benefit, only weighing them down by one point.
