Overview[edit | edit source]
Despite being at a higher level, Colho is outclassed by Gomes in virtually every way, and even if the player did not visit Chapter 8x, they will have certainly fought more difficult foes leading up to him. His Hammer and Poison Axe both have poor hit rates, even moreso considering the fact that the player will almost certainly be engaging him from the relative safety of a Forest tile. Colho cannot attack at a distance, and reasonably fast swordsmen should not have too much to fear from him, either. His Poison Axe can be a bit of a bother if it Poisons a unit, so it might be preferable to attack him at a distance.
Colho notably possesses the Ambush manual, certainly a useful tool for any unit, particularly the newly recruited Olwen. However, capturing Colho is extremely difficult thanks to his reasonable Speed and gargantuan Constitution, so players might need to have a Thief steal his manual. Sadly, Colho's Speed is just high enough to make stealing the manual a bit of a challenge. Lifis will only naturally hit the 13 Speed necessary to steal it at around Level 11, a threshold that a fragile Thief, especially one likely to be largely made obsolete by a soon-to-be-recruited unit, might not reach. Lara will reach the threshold at an earlier Level, but is extremely difficult to train, and is not recommended for this chapter as she must be kept unfatigued if she is to promote in the following chapter. It might serve the player to spend a a bit of time training Lifis with the Sety Scroll equipped beforehand, just to push his Speed stat up to 13. If all else fails, the player can weaken Colho before finishing him off with Olwen's Dire Thunder, though such an approach is unreliable due to Dire Thunder's poor hit rate.
