Conqueror's Whetstone is a location in Fire Emblem Awakening. Paralogue 19 takes place here, and Walhart can be recruited if certain conditions are met.
In the northwestern corner of Valm, directly north of Valm Castle, Conqueror's Whetstone can be found on the clifftops above the northern sea. Far from any village, Conqueror's Whetsone seems to be an abandoned graveyard. In between the piles of rubble and the small copses of trees pummeled by the ocean wind, the dead rise from their graves. Whatever purpose this structure had when it was still standing, it has now become a tomb for fallen soldiers who fight again.
Story[]
When the Ylissean League arrive at Conqueror's Whetstone in the middle of a thunderstorm, they find it crawling with Risen. Lucina senses a dark power eminating from the undead, suggesting they are as powerful as those who brought the world to ruin in her future. Despite her fears, Chrom decides to investigate the source of this power. As the battle commences, it becomes clear that these Risen are under the command of the Conqueror Walhart. Walhart challenges Chrom to fight him. If Chrom initiates a battle with him at least once, after the enemy is routed, Walhart will join Chrom's army. Needless to say, Chrom must survive for this to be possible.
During the fight, Risen will spawn from the numerous tombstones scattered across Conqueror's Whetstone. They will also approach from the paths through the woods. These reinforcements are just as powerful as the other Risen in the area; likewise, they will not hesitate to begin attacking Chrom's army.
