“Not the best weapon, but delicious when pickled.”

—In-game description from Fates.
The Daikon Radish (大根 lit. Daikon) is a Katana that is introduced in Fire Emblem Fates. A joke weapon that literally assumes the form of a white turnip, the Daikon Radish is not suited for combat due to its low Might. Like most other Katana, the Daikon Radish reduces its wielder's Defense and Resistance by 1, but increases their Speed by 1.

Etymology[edit | edit source]
Literally meaning Big Root, Daikon is a radish root vegetable. It is commonly grown in southeastern Asia in countries including Japan, China, Vietnam, and the Philippines. It is a commonplace vegetable used in many recipes or often as a garnish. As the flavor text of the weapon describes, it is commonly pickled.
