Dark Emblem is the seventh chapter of Fire Emblem Engage.
Story[]
Arriving in at the border of Firene, the Divine Dragon and their forces crossover into Brodia where they are greeted by Prince Alcryst and his retainers. After firing a warning shot, Alear reveals their identity to him. Alcryst immediately charges towards them and Alear prepares for an attack. Instead of attacking Alear, Alcryst dramatically leaps into a prostration and profusely apologizes for attacking them. Having been sent by King Morion after receiving news from Queen Ève of their impending arrival, Alcryst escorts Alear and their forces to Brodia Castle.
En route to the Castle, the party is ambushed at the Grand Crossing by Princess Hortensia of Elusia. She gives Alear an ultimatum to surrender their rings or die, leading to a skirmish when they naturally refuse. During the battle, Hortensia reveals that she has a Corrupted version of the Ring of the Princess Exalt. After a fierce clash, Alear and their forces win, forcing Hortensia and her retainers to retreat. Vander surmises that Elusia was behind the attack on Lythos castle given that the Ring of the Princess Exalt was once housed in the Ring Vault before the raid. Worried for the safety of King Morion and Crown Prince Diamant, Alear and their forces quickly embark on their final stretch to Castle Brodia.
Meanwhile Veyle fights off some Corrupted while looking for her sibling.

Roster Strategy[]
The Ring of the Dawn Maiden gives access to the following special Bond Rings:
- Sothe - Bane can reduce foe's HP to 1 with the activation being half of the user's Dex. It has a low activation, but it can cheat out damage on bulky foes if lucky. However some foes are immune to this effect, namely Bosses.
- Elincia - Mercy prevents the wearer from defeating a foe, leaving the foe with at least 1 HP even if they would kill them otherwise. This Ring can help stronger units soften enemies so weaker units can defeat them and reap the EXP and SP gains.
