“A word of advice, friend. Never sneak up on a man unfolding a treasure map!! Or...are you offering to come with me? That’s why you’re here, right?”
— Dart talking to Geitz in a support conversation

Dart is a playable character in Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade. He is foulmouthed, but kind and extremely loyal to those he puts his trust in.

Although never fully revealed to be true, Dart was most likely born as Rebecca's brother Dan. Years ago, he and Wil left the village on a journey. The two were separated in Badon and Wil never found him. Dan wound up washed up on the shore, but none of the villagers would go near him as it was a religious holiday in which it was taboo to touch blood.

Finally, Captain Fargus and his crew picked him up. He became an amnesiac, and was given the name Dart, and soon became Fargus's most trusted mate.

Dart is the only playable unit who starts as a Pirate. While novel, it is quite a negative for Dart, as he is unable to promote until Living Legend, and his promotional item costs 25000 gold. Dart does suffer from his cripplingly low Skill growth combined with the generally low accuracy of axes, which can give him accuracy issues. This makes him one of the few units who has issues hitting enemies in Blazing Blade. He has support options in Rebecca, Wil, and Karel that allow him to fix this issue.

While Dart's Speed growth is quite good, his base is quite middling. In contrast to his Speed, his Strength base is quite high, and his growth is good as well. He needs some levels to start doubling units reliably. The +15% critical hit boost also helps in conjunction with a Killer Axe, in case he's unable to one-round KO without a critical hit (quite uncommon), or just to make up for him missing a hit.

Overall, Dart is a unit that requires a bit of commitment from the player to compensate for his poor skill growth and to get his promotion item in a timely manner. With a couple of secret books, some lucky level ups, or a bit of attention from the player, Dart becomes a menace capable of doubling and one rounding the vast majority of enemies in the game, including bosses. In arena play he absolutely dominates with incredible stat caps, a workable constitution, and a good class.

“I'm Dart, brave crewman of Fargus's pirates, and I fear nothing!”
—Quote at Light, the final chapter

Possible EndingsEdit

Dart - Badon's Commando

Dart took a grave wound protecting Fargus in a skirmish. He vanished at sea, but rumors claim he might be in Pherae.

Farina and Dart

Farina’s love for Dart compelled her to stay in Lycia. She visited Badon often and flirted with Dart at every chance. He never knew how serious she was when she told him that a female pirate would be quite profitable!
