Dejanira is the boss of Chapter 12x in Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon. He is a Paladin that uses a Steel Lance. Dejanira forced Horace to betray Archanea, his homeland, and join Dolhr by holding his subjects hostage.

Etymology

The name Dejanira is of Greek origin and is mainly used for females. It is derived from the Greek words "deia" meaning "man" or "god" and "nera" meaning "water" or "ocean." Dejanira as a whole can also be translated as "man-destroyer."

In Greek mythology, Dejanira was the wife of the hero Heracles (known as Hercules in Roman mythology). She is known for inadvertently causing the death of Heracles through a poisoned robe.

Trivia

• Dejanira's luck stat is above 0 on the higher difficulties, unlike the other bosses. The only other non-recruitable bosses to have luck on any difficulty are fellow Gaiden bosses Dactyl and Larissa.
