Derick von Aegir became head of House Aegir and inherited the position of prime minister of the Adrestian Empire roughly a century after the Empire's founding. He became known as the Warrior Prime Minister for leading soldiers in battle. At some point, Derick challenged an unidentified emperor of House Hresvelg to a duel, and she agreed to wager the Imperial throne on its outcome. In the end, the emperor defeated Derick, who then proclaimed, "You are an Imperial beauty! Please accept me as your husband."
