“Reduces enemy HP by half.”
—In-game description, The Sacred Stones

Eclipse (イクリプス Ikuripusu) is a Dark Magic tome from the GBA Fire Emblem games. Much like Purge and Bolting, Eclipse is a long-range tome. However, it possesses an extremely low hit rate. This tome is also known to lack an absolute Might value. However, it compensates this with a powerful effect.

In The Binding Blade, enemies hit by Eclipse will be left at 1 HP. This tome is especially useful for breaking walls in The Binding Blade, as it weakens the HP of such structures from 100 to 1 with 100% accuracy.

In The Blazing Blade and The Sacred Stones, the effect has been changed. Rather than leaving them at 1 HP, the tome instead halves the target's HP by half if it hits. This is rather effective on units like Draco Zombies in The Sacred Stones, who have very high health.

Regardless of the game, Eclipse kills the target if their HP is at 1.
