Enbarr, the Imperial Capital is the capital city of the Adrestian Empire and the seat of its ruling family, House Hresvelg.
The city of Enbarr predates the founding of the Adrestian Empire in Imperial Year 1, and it is said that Saint Seiros first appeared near Enbarr and began working her miracles in the region. When Wilhelm Paul Hresvelg founded the Empire and became its first emperor, he chose Enbarr as his nation's capital due to the presence of Seiros.
In modern times, Enbarr enjoys great prominence as the largest and most populated city in all of Fódlan. It is the location of the Imperial Palace and the renowned Mittelfrank Opera Company.
House Hresvelg resides in the city and claims all of the surrounding territory as its domain. The Hresvelgs wielded supreme authority over the Empire until the Insurrection of the Seven in Imperial Year 1171, when a cabal of nobles led by Duke Aegir stripped Emperor Ionius IX of much of his power and rendered him a figurehead. House Vestra, a line of marquises with no domain of their own, also live in Enbarr and personally serve the Hresvelgs as Ministers of the Imperial Household.
