The Fell Contract (闇の誓約書 Yami no seiyaku-sho) is a promotional item found exclusively in Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade, permitting Thieves Level 10 and above to promote into Assassins. Upon promotion, thieves lose their unique ability to Steal, but this is compensated for by their acquisition of the formidable Lethality skill.
The Fell Contract has the potential to deplete a player's "Funds" ranking by an entire star if it is used, discarded, or sold, the result of the fact that it is worth quite a substantial amount of Gold. It is one of the few promotional items that cannot be replaced with an Earth Seal.
