The Cat (猫キャット Kyatto) is both a race and a class of Beast tribe Laguz that is exclusive to the Tellius Series of Fire Emblem. A group of Laguz that is able to assume the form of a cat at will, Cats rip the flesh of their foes with their Claws. Like all other Beast tribe Laguz, the Cat class is vulnerable to Fire Magic.

Profile

Residing in the nation of Gallia as one of many Beast Tribes, Cats, alongside Tigers, are not positioned very high up on the social hierarchy of the country as compared to Lions. This is attributed to the existence of national traditions mandating that only those possessing supreme strength are deemed fit to rule; Lions are known to have fulfilled this criteria and are therefore recognised as the country's leaders, with a small group serving as the its royal family. Within the events of Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn, only a small handful of Cats emerge as active participants of the wars breaking out in both titles, including Lethe, Ranulf, Lyre and Kezhda.

Combat

Cats are essentially the Laguz equivalent of Myrmidons, boasting high Skill and Speed that is offset by low Strength and Defense. In Radiant Dawn, Cats are superb evaders, but are usually unable to finish off enemies at full HP.

Path of Radiance

• Ranulf - A trusted vassal of King Caineghis.
• Lethe - A cold member of the Beast tribe Laguz who learns to dispel her hatred for the Beorc through her journey with Ike's army.

Radiant Dawn

• Ranulf - One of the leaders of the Laguz Alliance.
• Lethe - A warrior of Gallia who is stationed in Crimea with Mordecai to foster relations between the two nations.
• Lyre - Younger twin sister of Lethe who is known to be petty and aggressive.
• Kezhda - A Cat Laguz commander who leads the Laguz Alliance's assault across a river in Lethe's stead.
