“..........”
— Kishuna

Kishuna is an enemy character from Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade.

Profile[]

Kishuna is one of the numerous morphs Nergal created. He may appear three times in Hector's story and twice in Eliwood's, only in Gaiden chapters. Unlike the other morphs, Kishuna is incapable of speech or attacks. He can nullify the use of magic within a certain radius. Kishuna is killed during his third encounter in Hector's story. Although it seems that he was the first morph ever created, he is not; he was the first morph to have emotions, but he was rejected by Nergal because of his very nature as a magic seal.

Kishuna's only known in-game purpose, besides being a magic seal that nullifies all forms of magic in his range, is serving as the boss (or secondary boss) in certain gaiden chapters. Completing two of the three would result in a slightly modified death quote for Nergal, while completing all three would result in a major change to Nergal's death quote, as well as a modified ending screen after the credits of the game, showing a shadowy image of a dragon and a man (Aenir and, most likely, Nergal). In particular, if Kishuna is defeated in Imprisoner of Magic in Hector's story (a difficult task, as he will flee on the turn after he is first attacked) and Nils was raised to Level 7 or above in Lyn's story, the gaiden chapter A Glimpse in Time will be unlocked, which elaborates on Nergal's madness and implies heavily that Ninian and Nils are Nergal's children.

Trivia[]

  • In the Imprisoner of Magic chapter, Kishuna's availability can vary depending whose story and difficulty setting.
    • He will not retreat unless attacked on Eliwood's story.
    • In normal mode for Hector's story, he will leave the beginning of turn 15 unless Aion is defeated beforehand.
    • Hard Mode is the same, but this happens in turn 12 rather than 15.
  • Kishuna in Imprisoner of Magic is widely regarded as the most difficult boss in The Blazing Blade and among the hardest bosses in the entire series due to the requirement to kill him in a single turn.
    • This is made even more difficult by the fact that he nullifies all magic users within 10 spaces away from him, he is very durable at this point in time, having 52 HP and 14 defense on the hardest difficulty setting, a speed of 25 makes it basically impossible for any available at the time to be double attacking (aside from Guy or Rebecca, who had Arena grinding and lucky RNG in their growth rates).
