Differences from the game[]

  • In the manga adaptation, Cimbaeth is depicted as a coward: instead of being killed by Sigurd's army, he begged for mercy. On the other hand, he's shown to have a kinder disposition than in the game, as Jamke remembers their childhood years very fondly and says Cimbaeth treated him well.
  • In the manga adaptation, Shannan escapes after Sigurd's forces battle Ayra on his own and manages to convince Ayra to not fight for Verdane anymore, instead of having to be rescued by Sigurd first.
  • Just like in the Oosawa manga, Fujimori sets several pairings in stone. Some of the match-ups are: Sigurd and Deirdre, Chulainn and Ayra (plus Alec has a crush on her), Midayle and Edain, and Raquesis and Lex.
  • The manga does not feature the final battle from Doorway to Destiny, as it finished with Byron's death.
