Weapon needs Stats!
This weapon article is missing stats from one or more games. Remove this template when they have been added.

The FirestoneFirestone (ファイアストン) is the most basic dragonstone used by Manakete class characters and, mostly, enemies. It allows them to take the form of a Fire Dragon, which grants numerous statistical bonuses to enable the normally feeble Manaketes to fight quite effectively, but usually not as effectively as other dragon forms.

In Ankoku Ryū to Hikari no Tsurugi, two can be obtained, (one comes from the village in Chapter 5, and the other is dropped from an enemy), and the only playable Manakete who can use them is Bantu. However, in Shadow Dragon and Monshō no Nazo they can be used by any Manakete.

In Fire Emblem: Fūin no Tsurugi, it is an enemy only weapon, and as such it cannot be obtained normally, although any Manakete can use it. It has infinite durability.

Firestone Glitch

This is a glitch performed in Chapter 23 in order to obtain a Firestone for Fae:

  • Step 1: Bring a thief, (Preferably Chad, although Astol and Cath do just fine as well.) and make sure their Speed stat is higher than that of the Manaketes in the chapter.
  • Step 2: Move your Thief of choice within 6 spaces of the Manakete you wish to steal from, and make sure they are within the range of the Druid wielding the Berserk Staff. Also make sure that the Manakete is the only enemy (or ally, for that matter) within range of your Thief. It is recommended that you hit the Manakete with a Sleep Staff first.
  • Step 3: Let your Thief get berserked.
  • Step 4: Next turn, your Thief should steal the Firestone from the Manakete. Use Restore to cure the berserk status, and give the Firestone to Fae.
