Florete is the personal Sword of Mist in Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn.
Florete boasts superb stats all around, a fact that is grounded in the high Might and Accuracy that it possesses, alongside it having the third-largest Critical rate bonus of all swords existing within the game. This is further complemented by the lightweight nature of the sword and it being imbued with the ability to permit its wielder to perform ranged attacks.
Contrary to what the in-game discription claims, Florete isn't a Magic Sword, but a Storm Sword. Because of this, the damage done by the sword is drawn from the Strength stat and not the Magic stat - a fact that hampers the overall effectiveness of the weapon, owing to Mist being not particularly prolific Strength-wise.

Etymology[]
"Florete" is the Spanish name for the "foil", a weapon that is very commonly employed in the art of fencing.
Trivia[]
- In the US version, Florete's help description erroneously claims that the sword deals damage based on magic; this is false, as it uses Mist's strength and targets the enemy's defense, even when fighting at 2-range.
