Holsety is one of the holy weapons in Fire Emblem: Seisen no Keifu and was the weapon of Sety the Crusader, bestowed upon him by Holsety, who it is named after. It also appears in Fire Emblem: Thracia 776 with Sety, the son of Ferry and Levn. In Fire Emblem: Seisen no Keifu, it grants its wielder +10 Skill and +20 Speed, and only units with Major Holsety blood may use it.
Like the Valkyrie Staff, this weapon must have its wielder paired with only certain female units in order for it to be useful in the second generation. The three people who can be paired with Levn to make it useable by their sons are Ferry, Sylvia, and Tailto.
If Levn is paired with Ferry, the Holsety comes late in the game along with Sety, but he is arguably the strongest user, as he possesses the Pursuit skill that will almost always activate with the +20 speed boost the tome gives Sety, not to mention the high magic cap that the Sage class possesses. This is also canon, according to Thracia 776.
If paired with Sylvia, Holsety will appear even later in the game along with Corpul, and it will take some time before he can use it, as Priests can only use staves, but when promoted, Corpul will easily fulfill the Est archetype, with the developed stats and the high growths he possesses. Very unpreferred by the fanbase, due to the lateness, the necessity to promote him, the fact that Priests are hated, and because it gives up getting Sharlow and his "neccessary to beat the game" Berserk Staff.
If Levin is paired with Tailto, the tome will appear very early in the game along with Arthur, and he will easily destroy every enemy that attacks him, especially when his Wrath skill is activated. Quite the fan favourite in the community, with how early he comes in, his high movement rate upon (quick, due to the tome) promotion to Mage Knight, and arguments that he is "neccesary" to beat Ishtore and Blume without abusing Shanan.
