The Buddy Seal is a Reclassing item introduced in Fire Emblem: Fates.
Description
Once a unit obtains an A+ rank support with any character, they can use this seal to reclass into their friend's base class. Every unit can use it on one friend per playthrough. The Avatar can use it on any unit of the same gender they achieve an A Support with, but no unit can use the Avatar as their buddy. If the friend they use it on has a special base class such as Nohr Prince, Songstress, Kitsune, Wolfskin, or Villager, they will adopt their friend's secondary class instead.
Unlike S supports through Marriage Seal, getting A+ rank support is non-repicrocal, meaning that the A+ support is one-sided for a particular character. For example, the player can choose to get Hana A+ support on Felicia to obtain the Maid class with a Buddy Seal, but the player can have Felicia get A+ support on her sister to obtain the the Dark Knight class.
- Scenario 1: - If Xander and Ryoma achieve an A+ Support, Xander will gain the Samurai class while Ryoma will gain the Cavalier class.
- Scenario 2: - If Kaze and Saizo achieve an A+ Support, they will gain access to each other's secondary class.
- Scenario 3: - If Silas and Jakob achieve an A+ Support, Silas will gain access to the Rod Knight class, while Jakob will gain nothing, since his secondary class is the Cavalier class.
- Scenario 4: - If Kaden and Flannel achieve an A+ Support, Kaden will gain access to the the Axe Fighter class instead of the Wolfskin class while Flannel will gain access to the Diviner class instead of the Kitsune class.
- Scenario 5: If Sakura and Azura achieve an A+ Support, Sakura will gain access to the Pegasus Warrior class, while Azura will gain access to the Shrine Maiden class.
- Scenario 6: If Hinoka and Azura achieve an A+ Support, Hinoka will gain access to the Rod Knight class while Azura gets nothing, since her secondary class is the Sky Knight class.
