“I'm sorry. I looked everywhere for you, but I could never find you... And my hands are far too stained with blood... I thought it best that you forgot about me.”
—Galzus to his daughter Mareeta

Galzus (ガルザス Garuzasu) is a playable character in Fire Emblem: Thracia 776. He is the prince of the fallen Kingdom of Rivough, and the father of Mareeta. Prince Shannan of Isaach is his cousin. He seeks revenge against the Kingdom of Isaach, after Rivough was invaded by King Mananan following Rivough's massacre of Darna. It appears he later decides to abandon the idea of revenge after Manster Castle is retaken. He also decides to leave Mareeta with Eyvel, who would not have allowed otherwise, though he promises to visit Mareeta once a year.

If Galzus dies or is not recruited, he will become the Deadlord Bovis.

Overview

Galzus has several capped stats, an abnormally high 8 move, 5 movement stars , a solid Pursuit Critical Coefficient of 3, and two deadly skills in the form of Luna and Astra. Even his Magic stat is well above par for his class. With such a wide variety of power, he could be considered to be of the Gotoh archetype, and a rare non-magical example, at that. When he joins, he will likely be your strongest fighter, other than Ced.

On top of all of that, Galzus has a stronger-than-normal support with Mareeta, an already extremely potent unit on her own right.

As an enemy, Galzus appears when the player's forces are practically at their weakest, with ludicrously high stats all around. Though it is possibly to defeat him by tricking him into capturing an unarmed unit, the player's best recourse is to simply run from him at full speed.
