Gargoyles (ガーゴイル) are malignant fiends who hunt with Lances. They fly with fell wings to devastate any souls who don't take proper caution of them.
In combat, they behave much like Wyvern Riders and Pegasus Knights in that they are flying units that wield lances. They are first seen in the chapter before Saleh is available for the first time. Their most dangerous asset is their flight -- Which means that escape options get decidedly slimmer. They also have good speed and defense stats.
Combat
Ranged units such as Archers and Magic Users are excellent against flying enemies, particularly against Gargoyles, as they usually do not have high HP, meaning probably an instant kill. If ranged units are not available, use heavily armored units or very fast units (although this can usually be countered by the Gargoyle usually also being very fast.) Paladins/Snipers are almost always the best units against Gargoyles.
