Gargoyles (ガーゴイル) are malignant fiends who hunt with various weapons, such as scythes, their claws, or Lances. They fly with fell wings to devastate any souls who don't take proper caution of them.

In combat, they behave much like Wyvern Riders and Pegasus Knights in that they are flying units that wield lances. In The Sacred Stones they are first seen in Chapter 11 of Eirikas route, or Chapter 11 of Ephraims route. Their most dangerous asset is their flight -- which means that escape options get decidedly slimmer. They also have good speed and defense stats.

Combat

Ranged units such as Archers and Magic Users are excellent against flying enemies, particularly against Gargoyles, as they usually do not have high HP, meaning probably an instant kill. If ranged units are not available, use heavily armored units or very fast units (although this can usually be countered by the Gargoyle usually also being very fast). Paladins/Snipers are almost always the best units against Gargoyles.
