||
− | Garret is often considered the worst of your three possible berserkers, even with hard mode bonuses, and with good reason. His high HP doesn't make him a total loss as he can cap it, but his other stats can't measure up when compared to a Geese or Gonzales of the same level. Although berserkers are supposed to have high strength, Garret's strength is average for his level. His growths only excel in HP and strength, although if you're lucky he may gain a decent skill and speed, so only use Garret if you really like him or if you're forced to. His luck is a bit iffy against those with killer weapons and his defenses are horrid, especially his resistance, so like with Gonzales, Garret should avoid fast, powerful magic users. |

Garret is filler at best and ignorable at worst. His high HP, strength and skill will make him strike with strong accurate blows. His main issue is his low speed and weapon rank which limits his offenses. While C axes lets him use killer axes (which are one of the most accurate axes in the game), he is unable to use the Brave Axe or Armads for a while.
During Chapter 21, he can be somewhat useful. He can distract a large amount of enemy reinforcements by moving on to the peaks for a huge boost in avoid. This is helpful if the player is struggling with transporting units around the mountains and reinforcement zones in time.
Ending
- Garret - Retired Outlaw (歴戦の狂戦士 Rekisen no kyō senshi, Veteran Berserker)
- "Garret quit banditry and led the life of a farmer. He worked and tended his crops like an ordinary citizen and lived in peace. After the war, he never picked up his axe again."
Etymology
Given how the Elibe games rely on Le Mort d'Arthur and Le Chanson de Roland for names, it is very likely that his name is a corruption of Gareth, a knight of the Round Table.
Trivia
- According to a Japanese gaming news website, Garret landed 61st place out of 80 in the character popularity poll for Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade.
