A Gate (ゲート) is a space on specific maps (usually those with Seize or Arrive goals) that you must reach to complete the chapter. The enemy boss is usually, but not always, standing on the gate space. A unit standing on the gate space recovers 1-5 HP per turn, and has a terrain bonus added to both Defense and Avoid. The health restoring property of the gate space is commonly used for Boss Abuse.
