General is a Skill introduced in Fire Emblem: Three Houses.

Commander is a Skill introduced in TearRing Saga: Berwick Saga. It later appeared in Fire Emblem: Three Houses, where it serves as is the enhanced version of General.

Overview[]

In Berwick Saga, the Commander skill grants a 10% hit bonus to all allies within 3 hex radius. It is commonly found on bosses or NPC leaders, but is occasionally found on certain powerful generic enemies, such as Gigas Knights. Reese is the only permanent playable unit to possess the skill; if the Tapestry is purchased from the Furniture shop, the radius of the aura will increase by one on Reese.

In Fire Emblem: Three Houses, the General skill is an enemy-only skill that reduces the damage done by enemy gambits by 50% and grants immunity to instant death effects, such as Lethality. Commander is an enhanced version, further reducing enemy gambit damage by 25% and also grants immunity to status ailments and movement effects.
