Glower (グラウアー Gurauā) is a tome that is introduced in Fire Emblem: New Mystery of the Emblem. When cast, a sinister hieroglyph of an eye will be summoned into battle, where it will fix the selected enemy unit with a glaring beam of nebulous light before shattering apart and inflicting damage upon him/her. Glower negates the Resistance of the target in question, and alongside the fact that it possesses fairly high Might and is rather accurate, this effectively makes it potentially deadly, as it is capable of inflicting copious amounts of damage upon both magic and non-magic users alike.

Trivia[edit | edit source]
- Glower is the only forgeable weapon that is worth 0 Gold. On higher difficulties, enemies wield forged Glower tomes. If the player obtains Glower via hacking, it costs 0 Gold to forge.
- Although Glower technically does not have a magic type, it is most similar to dark spells and has thus been categorized with them. This association is made clearer with the release of Fire Emblem Awakening, where Dark magic is treated as a subcategory of Tome.
