Goneril, located in the Leicester Alliance near the border with Almyra, is the domain of House Goneril.

Profile

House Goneril descends from the hero Goneril, one of the Ten Elites who fought in the War of Heroes.

After the founding of the Leicester Alliance in Imperial Year 901, House Goneril was given a seat at the Leicester Alliance Roundtable in Derdriu as one of the Five Great Lords. With the lands of the Duchy of Goneril abutting the mountains of Fódlan's Throat in the east, House Goneril has maintained a strong military tradition and is charged with both offensive and defensive efforts against the powerful neighboring kingdom of Almyra. The house's troops garrison Fódlan's Locket, a fortress built through the cooperation of the Alliance, the Adrestian Empire, and the Holy Kingdom of Faerghus with the vital purpose of fending off further Almyrian invasions.

The current head of House Goneril, Duke Holst, has earned a reputation as Leicester's greatest general. His younger sister Hilda attends the Officers Academy, as a member of the Golden Deer.
