Gorgons (ゴーゴン) is an enemy-only class from Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones. They are snake-like creatures with a human head and snakes for hair. They often wield Stone and Shadowshot and have the potential to be dangerous foes. They are hatched from Gorgon Eggs. A Gorgon also appears as a boss in Two Faces of Evil, the first chapter that Gorgons and Gorgon Eggs are encountered. Gorgons can also be encountered in Melkaen Coast, Neleras Peak, Floor 8 of the Tower of Valni, and in Floors 3 and above in the Lagdou Ruins.
While they are essentially the Mage equivalent, along with Mogall and Arch Mogall, they actually have decent HP by comparison.

Etymology
Gorgons are terrifying female creatures from Greek mythology. The term refers to any of the three sisters who had hair of living, venomous snakes, and a horrifying gaze that would turn those who looked into stone. This is fitting for the game's depiction of them, in which they have snake-like hair, and their class exclusive Stone magic.
